Diamonds in the Community is a charity set up to better the lifes of those living in our community.

Providing projects that improve opportunities of social inclusion, better physical health as well as encouraging better mental health. We also aim to assist and work in partnership with other local organisations wherever and whenever possible to the benefit of residents in the local area.

BUILDING A STRONGER COMMUNITY TOGETHER

At Diamonds in the Community we aim to provide services that are missing from Airdrie, Coatbridge and surrounding areas.
These services are hoped to be both beneficial to the individuals participating as well as the overall community by using
resources and organisations that are already in place.

BABY & FAMILY CLOTHING AID

Diamonds in the Community operates a clothing bank for babies, young children and adults. As well as supplying clothing we can also provide some essential baby equipment, toiletries and toys to help with development.

In ever increasingly difficult financial times families and individuals can quite easily find themselves in times of difficulty, we hope by providing this service that we may be able to leasen the burden of providing some much needed clothing for all seasons of the year and helping with the many costs of raising a young baby.

HOW WE WORK

Diamonds in the Community relies heavily on the goodwill of individuals, companies and organisations in our community. From the volunteers who give up their free time, to the florist or optician that donates some much needed funds to the organisations who assist with transport and storage we couldn't do it without all these wonderfully kind gestures. In turn we like to give back to the same community by utilising venues for functions, using local business's for services and recommending those who give to their community.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

There are many ways you can help Diamonds in the Community including:

  • Volunteering - we require individuals to help with our many projects
  • Donating - you can donate items to our Clothing Aid & KitAid collections or any unwanted household equipment
  • Sharing is Caring - you can share our services or stories, whether it's on your social media or by word of mouth or placing posters in your workplace
